So today's  wonderful woman is Penny Ellison, a personal trainer from Maidstone.  If you have a goal to get fit, shed some weight or just have a bit more energy, she's your gal!!

So here she is, in her own words.

So how cool it is to be able to combined my love of sport/fitness and working with people.

Just over ten years ago I saw an advertisement for a fitness position in a local gym.  After working there for a short time and realising how much enjoyment I got from working with clients on a 1-2-1 basis, I signed up to do a Personal Training qualification.

Ten years on, I have been working for myself for four years.  I work with my clients in their own homes or local parks and I watch as they meet their goals, with great admiration.

Since having my second daughter two years ago I have started a Buggy Fitness Group at Bedgebury.  So like-minded mums can meet and exercise together in the beauty of the forest, with their little ones.

So how can you find the time to exercise? You are a busy women, whether working outside or inside the home it = 1 busy women.  I fit in exercise by adding it into my shedule, a great start is a little as 20 minutes a few times a week, and go from there.

The benefits are endless, the feel good factor, endorphins, ‘YOU' time.  No one ever regrets a workout FACT!! even if they wanted to be faster, stronger or better during the session.  You will have more patience, your mood will be lifted, you will be more proactive, increased energy and toned body, to name just a few benefits.

If you incorporate this with drinking more water, being more mindful of what you eat, how you fuel your body.  Plan your food, as much as you can, that way you can prepare healthy meals the majority of the time and snack on fruit and veg.  Then you are already winning!!

Quick fix diets/weight loss plans don`t work, ever!!! Mixing all the food groups, eating when you are hungry and realising when you are full and need to go and do something else, rather than eat, are all key factors in controlling your weight and health.

If you are tired, go to bed and sleep.  After your meal, go brush your teeth or paint your nails, to stop you snacking.

I have a range of clients, here in Kent and honestly the hardest part is starting.  Being confident enough to go for that walk, run or calling me for a chat about how I can help you. That first step is all it takes, to get you nearer to your desires.

Once something becomes a habit, you are on your way to reaching your goals, it really is that simple.

Dreams have to be worked at.  There is no such thing as impossible, its actually I`m possible… just go for it.

Love Penny
